According to reports based on recently published patents as well as information from inside the supply chain, the upcoming Apple iPhone 12 may not be equipped with the notch display.
As per LetsGoDigital, the patents and leaked data suggest that the top-end 2020 iPhone will have a notch-free display, with under the display Touch ID and no Face ID.
The rumor that’s been doing the rounds for months is that Apple has filed a patent in Japan on December 23 for iPhone’s notch-less display.
This is not the first time that we have heard something like this. It could be one of the several prototypes that Apple is working on.
There are many image render designs and not sure which would make it to mass production.
In order to achieve the full-screen display, Apple will place the TrueDepth camera under the screen (high-end models).
iPhone 12 is going to be equipped with an under-screen touch ID. And the remaining key layout continues the style of its predecessor.
